Liege Guild .50 Cal – ANTIQUE, DUELING PISTOLS CASED, DAMASCUS OCTAGONAL
General Specs: Liege Guild, Year 18th/19th Centuries, .50 Cal, #1. 37.7oz; #2. 38.1oz Serial Number: NSNPresented in its beautifully built vintage French fit case, this fine pair of dueling pistols are Liege Guild made to a pattern often associated with the famous Paris gunsmith Lepage Moutier. Showing excellent gunsmithing and craftsmanship throughtout, these pistols have it all – tightly wound damascus barrels, ornately carved stock and elegantly engraved metal surfaces. Adjustable triggers and very usable sights would make these guns extremely accurate at dueling distances. While most British dueling pistols had a smooth bore or possibly a very fine scratch rifling, most pistols produced for the Continental market had full rifling and the bullet was cast slightly oversized and often needed a hammer to seat it fully in the bore. This cased set includes all its accessories including a hammer and each has its special place in the velvet lined Walnut case. When its time to throw down the glove, accept no substitute, good luck!
